About Us
Liberty Housing Organization is a non-profit committed to creating socially, financially, and environmentally responsible homes. Since our inception in 2015, we have developed nearly 500 affordable homes in the Calgary area, and our goal is to be on our way to delivering 2,500 units within the next 5 years through our innovative Ownership and affordable Rental Programs.
To make our projects possible, Liberty Housing Organization partners with industry leaders who bring together several decades of combined experience in the design, development, and construction of mixed use and affordable housing projects.
Our team deeply believes in our mission to help close Calgary’s affordability gap, and we are committed to working tirelessly to achieve this goal.
Our Approach
At Liberty Housing Organization, we believe that a home is more than just a place to live; it’s a community. One such valued partner is Truman Homes, an organization that serves as the dedicated builder for all Liberty projects and significantly contributes to our achievements. Liberty and Truman have a dynamic partnership that allows Liberty to acquire affordable housing units directly through Truman-led projects.

Our Housing Programs
We are proud to have had several projects individually approved under the CMHC Homeowner Loan Insurance Flexibilities program, which is a testament to our commitment to creating sustainable and accessible housing solutions. Our housing programs are designed to assist low to moderate income households who are unable to secure conventional mortgage financing or find affordable rentals.
